RicherU Challenge: What should I spend my $$ on?

Through-out this blog and the financial challenges, I usually challenge you to save or buy used...I have to admit there are some items I would never buy used...After college I bought a  used refrigerator...never again. My $75 lasted about 3 months...but because of that I will never buy another used large appliance.  According to US New and World Report there are 20 items you should never buy used...So today's blog will advise you what to spend your money on...if you have to buy new consider the items below of high importance in your spending decisions.

Today's Challenge: Make your own personal list of what you would never buy used.  Stick to it!  Sometimes it's worth the extra $$$.

1.Cribs & children furniture                                           
2. Car seats                                                --never buy anything used that might endanger your child
3. Helmets
4. Tires                                                       --safety first for helmets & tires
5. Laptops
6. Software                                                 --all thing electronic & digit (this applies to a lot on this list)
7. Plasma & HDTVs
8. DVD Players
9. Digital & video cameras
10. Speakers & Microphones
11. Camera lenses
12. Photo light bulbs
13. Mattress & Bedding                              --hygiene
14. Swimsuits & Undergarments                  --hygiene
15. Wet suits
16. Shoes                                                   --shoes/hats can carry skin disease and are not usually properly
17. Hats                                                         cleaned when donated
18. Makeup
19. Pet Supplies
20. Vacuum cleaners                                   --high usage and usually cost more to repair than buy new
