HealthierU: Rise and Shine!

Mornings are a madhouse. Not only are children and adults yelling about getting to school or work but the traffic, forgotten homework, etc can make your morning go downhill fast. The best way to stay focused and get moving in the right direction with the sunrise is to start your morning with breakfast.

Coffee and a donut are not a healthy breakfast! Slow down and cut up an apple, grab some turkey or ham slices. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. It jumps tarts your metabolism, curbs hunger pains for sweets mid-morning and can help you stay focused. Skipping breakfast is a foolish decision. It doesn't have to be huge just grab some fresh fruit and go. Many say they don't like breakfast food-who says you have to eat breakfast food in the morning. Ham and cheese sandwich is acceptable anytime!

Today's Challenge: Commit to eating breakfast the rest of this week and you will see a noticeable change in your energy level and attitude.
