Family Challenge: What's on Their Mind?

After a busy evening, I sat down with my husband last night and the conversation wasn't much of one at all instead it was "instructive" ...when most of the phrases begin with 'You should' or 'You need to' things obviously went downhill fast.

We often don't realize that friends and family already know what they should be doing and really don't need the additional instruction. I was wrong for assuming my husband didn't have things in order--we should be more sensitive to the those and instead of instructing be engaging!

Today's Family Challenge: Ask the question...."What's on Your Mind?" before you begin with anything on yours. You may be surprised at what's on their heart. Just engage in conversation and not provide a instruction book for them to follow.

Challenge Issued!
